TRY SCUBA (Resort Course) Cost: $150 - includes instruction, all gear, beach dive to shipwreck in
ocean. Not sure if you will like scuba diving and want to try it before you commit to a full certification course? Or want to visit a shipwreck while on vacation but don't want to take the time to complete the full certification course? This course may be for you. Here is how it works. You call and make a reservation for the Resort Course. We set up a time for you to come to Manteo to complete your classroom and pool work. This will take about 2 hours. At this time we charge you for 1/2 the fee or $75.00. Then we break for lunch and give you time to drive to the dive site which is in Kill Devil Hills. This is a 30 minutes drive. This is where we charge you the other $75.00. We gear up and head out off the beach to one of the two shipwrecks located there, the Carl Gerhardt and the Kyzikes. They both went down in the 1920's and are @20 feet in depth. Both are great dives. If the weather or conditions don't allow us to dive you have two options: You can return in the morning or later in the week and we try to dive again or we refund you $75.00 for the diving portion. |
